Band Manager Gets Bronchitis From Tobacco Smoke Exposure
I help musicians in ten different bands with the production of their shows when they are performing in Colorado nightclubs. I'm in the venue, exposed to second-hand smoke, for at least 8 hours per show, typically. If I'm helping with a run of shows, I can be working in venues for 4 or 5 nights in a row. I have chronic bronchitis because of my exposure to second-hand cigarette smoke. I don't smoke. Because of the smoke, I have had to turn down the opportunity to help bands in most Denver venues and only work for the bands who play in smoke-free venues, such as Boulder and now, Fort Collins.
